Hey @hastingsraces!! Why is two-time Hall of Famer Frank Barroby “grooming” fellow Hall of Famer George Royal’s backside?? We saw he needed spiffing up on his stakes race weekend (no less) and Mr. Barroby saw to it (instead of watching his horse on post parade). George Royal should always look sharp on race day! Both this man and this horse are legends. Staff need to pay attention to these details. And where is George Royal’s plaque?!? There’s a generation of people that haven’t a clue who the “big plastic horse” in the paddock is... and as the winningest BC bred stakes horse, he deserves better. Pull it out of storage, polish it up and reinstall it ASAP. In a sport steeped in tradition, respect and honour, please do your part to ensure his legacy never gets overlooked again.
