How would you rate each of Johan/Jesse's crystal beasts on a scale of 1 to 10? - Reeds

honestly this is a good question although if i'm honest i have a bias for 3 of them more than the others but we'll just see how we go
We'll go by order of introduction/appearance
Ruby Carbuncle - very much a 10
baby girl i love her so much.
considering she's the one of the seven we see the most it's probably only natural she scores so high. she's such an adorable bundle of energy of equal curiosity and judgemental sass and i love her fully for it. her antics with Winged kuriboh are equally entertaining to watch as it is to see her either cuddle up to Johan or hit someone with her attack. Easily my favourite
Emerald Tortoise- 6.5
The caring grandpa
I dont have a lot to say on him other than he's designed really well and that its clear he obviously wants the best for Johan. Might be because hes probably one of the ones who talks the least.
Amethyst Cat - 9
Probably the one responsible for 50% of Ruby's sass but the overly protective mother/big sister- she's great too and considering she's one of the few beasts I've actually written for likely says a lot for my enjoyment of her. The way she can go from "oh hello Johan sweetie how are you" to "Whos face do i need to dig my claws into" rather quickly is pretty funny It's also amusing how she's somewhat got it out for judai in particular haha
Cobalt eagle - 5
Honestly Cobalt is probably the one I forget about most. For me personally he's just kinda there a lot of the time. Doesn't mean I dislike him but again he's just kinda there a lot
Topaz Tiger - 7.5 Topaz kinda gets a boost at the merrit of memories of seeking his card out when I was younger proceeding to drop him down the radiator and then having to get him out of there but I enjoy his sort of eagerness for action as exemplified by both his effect and how he jumps into action without thinking in the episode with Geize which would've ended up with him stuck in the draining trap had it not been for Sapphires intervention. He's probably kinda one of the cool older brothers that wants to be the protector but sometimes just acts before thinking
Amber mammoth - 7
To say half his memorability doesn't come from the fact his dub voice is a pretty hilarious Arnold schwartznager impression would be a lie
Yet at the same time just by being the physically largest it's hard to forget him.
If I had to describe him he's probably the ever reliable uncle who would definitely put himself before everyone else (as exemplified by his effect too) he is the shield for a reason
Sapphire pegasus - 8.5
The earnest leader and probably the one who comes closest to acting like a parental figure in some ways which honestly if they'd been able to do more with the scrapped s4 concepts I would've liked to see more of him acting like that for Johan
It's very clear, though, that he cares for the other beasts as well if the earlier example I cited for topaz didn't give it away, and in turn they trust him whole heartedly calling him the "leader" and all
Probably something to act on more in my writing endeavours since, along with amethyst Sapphires, the only other one I've sort of tried writing for. With plans to do more whenever I write more for the Divergence au
