The North Carolina Notary Association is very pleased that we are moving in a great direction after fighting for all of us for sometime now. I have read many posts where many of you aren't sure what everything means. I wanted to share the letter that others have access to that received the email from the Secretary of State around 3:44pm on Friday afternoon. In the email there was a link that downloads the letter that is in the photo of this post. In this letter it details all fee increases as well as "MILEAGE" and the resuming of the EVN until the RON is ironed out 12 months from now. I have witnessed notaries battling with other notaries on this forum and others. Let's stop doing this. We all have taken the same oath of office and it was to protect and serve consumers from fraud and forgery. We are all entitled to our opinions, however, we can grow more when we refer to factual documented information that will help us help others. We are family in the notary industry. Let's collaborate and not make things a competition because the work that we are entrusted to do becomes weak and compromised. Let's keep our comments positive as well as our posts and be the change that we seek from others. We are the leaders that others can follow to make North Carolina a more trusting and safer place to be. THIS IS A WIN FOR US. LET'S APPLAUD FOR BEING HEARD AND BEING SEEN. WE STILL HAVE WORK TO DO.
