Why do black parents have such a hard time admitting when they are wrong?

There’s a stigma there. Just because you are an adult or a parent doesn’t excuse you from making mistakes or doing the wrong thing, especially when it concerns your child. 

With black parents a lot of times there’s this “I don’t owe my kids nothing” mentality, you don’t owe the at least a talk, or better yet..an apology? 

They rather not talk about it, act like it didn’t happen, or prosecute you for bringing it up.

That’s not setting a good example for the children. 

We should start having these conversations for better relationships
