“Excuse me, miss. I don’t mean to interrupt your breakfast, but I was wondering if you knew someone called the Doctor.”

Clara wasn’t one for visiting small American towns in her own time period, but the Doctor had found the place quaint when they realized they hadn’t landed at Corabii 7. So they found a diner and had a pleasant breakfast, until the Doctor had caught sight of a pretty blonde across the room and bailed.

Naturally, Clara went straight to the source of the problem.

“I’m Clara, by the way.”

Melissa stood on he side of the little two lane road, her duffle bag thrown over her shoulder as she stuck her thumb up, signaling the oncoming car, and of course just as all the rest had, it passed her. She was beginning to think that she should just start walking to the next service station until the roar of an engine slowed to a low rumble and she looked up to see the sleek 67 impala. Leaning down to the passenger window the redhead gave the driver a smile. "Hey, can I get a ride to the next town? I won't be a bother and I can pay you in cash." houseofchicks-andpie

"Hey." The blonde smiled, leaning against the front counter of the tattoo parlor. "I've got a 2:30 appointment."

Tom looked up from where he’d been screwing around on his computer, drawing up a tattoo for another client. “Oh, hey. I think I remember you.” He stood, holding out his hand for her to take, the other hand opening the saloon-style doors that separated the lounge from the tattooing area. “Let’s get your design stencil printed and get started.”

"Doctor, where are we goin' this time?" Rose smiled, leaning against the console.

"Somewhere fantastic, I promise you that. I know this place, a few solar systems away. Breath takin' view. Literally will steal your breath so we'll need oxygen cans."
