if roadtrip, #3 is available for the summer lovin’ event, i’d love to participate! the event’s concept seems so fun <3 my tlou blog is a sideblog ( @thelastofhyde ) so i’ve had to send an ask through my main blog
Here you go! I hope you have fun with it!
Road Trip #3 is TAKEN.
(i was going to send this when i saw your post about billy knight but thought perhaps i shouldn’t,,, then i saw your most recent ask and decided it needs to be said)
i think a big part of why there’s so little love for billy as a character (regardless of the fact he’s played amazingly by dear boy joseph) is the stigma that still exists when it comes to mental health. sure, everyone on the internet will sit and champion for mental health awareness when it comes to depression and anxiety, but the moment it steps into the realm of personality disorders such as schizophrenia or addiction problems, everyone turns their nose up and basically make a villain out of those who struggle with it, because that’s easier than having to use an ounce of compassion to realise they are human and have often experienced absolutely traumatic events in their lives to lead them to having these mental health issues.
disclaimer: i’m not saying everyone who dislikes billy is like this. at the end of the day, preference exists and we do not have to like a character simply because a certain actor plays them.
I think this is super well said and I agree with it <3
