Rain kiss

"No! It isn’t fair!" Natalie had been screaming at Hayden for the past thirty minutes over something that she couldn’t even remember now - she was just mad for the sake of being mad. She knew he was getting angrier by the second and it was getting to the point that she was getting scared. His fists were clenched by his sides and she took a step back, keeping her eyes on him, “You always get so mad. I don’t understand why. Am I not allowed to have an opinion?"

He murmured something under his breath that she could quite understand, but heard the word ‘leave’. She shook her head, shrugging her shoulder half heartedly, “Then leave, because that’s all I heard." He made his way to the door, opening and she followed him so she could lock it behind him. She hadn’t even realized it was raining until now. She wasn’t a big fan of rain, or more she wasn’t a fan of all the water everywhere.

She slammed the door behind him, locking the deadbolt. She leaned against the door for a minute, closing her eyes. She still hadn’t heard his car start so glanced out of the window, seeing he was leaning against his car. Why hasn’t he left yet? Maybe he just doesn’t want to leave me. This was what always happened to her - they would get angry at each other, more him than her, but regardless, they always made up. It was always okay in the end.

She opened the door, running towards him, not bothering to even shut the door. Once she got to him, she pressed her lips against his, holding his face in her hands. He wrapped his arms around her waist, roughly pulling her closer to him. She moved her hands down to grip onto his shirt, and his hands moved up to grip onto her now wet hair. She pulled away after a minute, murmuring, “Don’t leave."
