"Did you bring any quarters?" I know many people think he likes that function because of adult reasons but what if not? Like most of the things he likes are actually quite easy to explain by simply enjoying the little things in life because he doesn't get better and good things are rare to come. I think Sam should've at least given him a quarter.

Now I imagine tiny Sammy praying because that's what he learned from pastor Jim.

This is so good how Sam wanted to belive in a higher power and even through Dean knew the truth he gave faith to Sam. He will always try to give Sam what he wants even if it's not the truth.
