if i had a nickel for every time a goth boy named theo with a crush on a guy who's all sunshine and rainbows became the adopted son of a god/powerful entity who eventually made a plan to kill everything including said boy and himself as a very bad way of coping with trauma, trapping everyone in a cycle of torment, despair and violence because said entity doesn't believe in a better tomorrow, leading to giving the boy religious trauma and isolating him from his loved ones for years before he finally starts healing, i would have two nickles, which isn't a lot but hOW THE FUCK DID POPPY PLAYTIME AND MY OWN BOOK WITH +700K WORDS MANAGED TO HAVE THIS EXACT SAME PLOT LINE–
