Vulkan had a long nightmare.
He didn't know when the nightmare started, but he knew he was in it.
In the body of the soulless demigod, he knelt down in blood soaked with death. Bloody tears flowed from his eyes, dripping on the broken body. A golden flame started to burn from that tear, turning everything into ashes.
"Father…" He murmured, which seemed to be the last memories he left in his hand.
The spark flew away from his body, setting the whole world in fire. All along, the unavoidable doom always seemed to find the people around him. Sanguinius, Ferrus, …. His brothers are all people who struggle with fate, but the future always becomes worse and worster.
Who will be next? Who will be by his side? In despair, he remembered the young girl's black hair and the long music she played. There seemed to be messy fragments in his mind, he saw that the girl also had a tragic fate.
There was a voice in his head. Burn it out, and let the chaos restore everything back to origin….
"Don't…." The small light as gentle as water shone into the burning world, and the voice seemed to be far away from him, but also close to his ears. The flowing light enveloped his burning body and wiped away his overflowing tears. "Don't be deceived by chaos, there will be no rebirth in destruction, only endless nothingness!"
The cold liquid dripped into his body, slid down his skin and was quickly dried by the scalding heat. "My lord, I will give you the warmest hug, I will give you the most unyielding love, and I will cast out all the evil gods for you. So, don't leave me. Please don't let chaos take you away…"
There are only flames burning everywhere. He can't see himself or others. He has become one with the fire, but he knows that the girl is still by his side. He didn't want to put her in danger. He didn't know if he still had limbs, so he could only use force indiscriminately in the void, trying to push the girl far away, but the small light always enveloped him.
Something cold and soft pressed against his lips, and a gentle but powerful force flowed down his throat to his heart, calming his body. The intense and crazy flamer was extinguished by that small light, and in an instant, extreme exhaustion and dizziness replaced sadness and pain.
"I'm sorry… go to sleep, my lord. Let me protect you."
The voice slowly fell silent.
And he slept peacefully.
