i randomly thought back to om shanthi om mavid and had a revelation

you know what i think would be really fucking angsty? if prakash was max and shanthi was david, but om was more like other max and sandy was just a david look-a-like. other max and the david doppelgänger never get together (because that’s not the real david) but other max has to deal with david’s death. and in the final scene where the actual ghost of david shows up, other max finally gets to see his david again. and because max can’t handle having a dead husband, other max dies in the fire along with mukesh and gets reunited with david
