wow this took off huh, well it certainly is used in Australia! you hear it there more commonly than anywhere else, I’d reckon, but you do hear it over here in the UK as well, though it’s very much an archaism. most people I’ve heard using it are Geordie, I’m from Manchester, and I know for sure I’ve heard my Glaswegian pal say it at least once... but it originated in Lincolnshire! 

also listen sometimes you just end up saying it because you think it’s a heehoo funny phrase
