-He makes a pause to take a deep breath and continue-

I stood up for myself today! I... I- there was this group of guardians today... they were trying to prove I can't be a pacifist so... so they were shoving me and pushing me and such... I was letting it happens because...

-There's no reason to explain why, Freija already knows it and he knows she doesn't like it and so he just drifts off-

Anyways... when they got bored they threw me to the floor and I was trying to reach something that I could use to help myself up when a hunter, n-not from that group of guardians, came to help me and... the group came back and started bothering the hunter so I told them to leave him alone but they wouldn't so I...

-He seems unsure to tell the next part, as if something will happen just because he's telling it-

So I told Yú to get Lord Shaxx! And he did... and now they're all going against dad in a crucible match... you can imagine how it's going...

-Ellis makes another long pause, mumbling something before sending the message-

I really don't feel good about it...

It took ages for Freija to ever answer. It didn't show she'd gotten the message at all for a while, then it was silent after that for hours longer.

Eventually, a message was sent in response, while she was on the field and too busy to talk.

"I'm glad you asked for help."

Her voice was dry and didn't indicate any feelings about the message, but there wasn't any suppressed anger this time.

Ygritte watched and said nothing. She was older than he'd thought at first, Jon realized; maybe as old as twenty, but short for her age, bandy-legged, with a round face, small hands, and a pug nose. Her shaggy mop of red hair stuck out in all directions. She looked plump as she crouched there, but most of that was layers of fur and wool and leather. Ygritte trotted beside Jon as he slowed his garron to a walk. She claimed to be three years older than him, though she stood half a foot shorter; however old she might be, the girl was a tough little thing. Stonesnake had called her a "spearwife" when they'd captured her in the Skirling Pass. She wasn't wed and her weapon of choice was a short curved bow of horn and weirwood, but "spearwife" fit her all the same. She reminded him a little of his sister Arya, though Arya was younger and probably skinnier. It was hard to tell how plump or thin Ygritte might be, with all the furs and skins she wore. What are the weirdest ways you became friends with someone?

I just sNORTED. Anyway, on with the story, I guess :)

So it was a nice and sunny… I think around October/November time. In the afternoon, at school. 

Since I’m an immigrant, and had only lived here for a couple of months at the time, it was weird making friends with a language that you had yet to master. So I had `set` my eyes on this grill, that was always alone, cause she’s a loner.

So on that beautiful afternoon, I had shyly made my way to where she sat, sat down beside her- and there was sILENCE. For a couple of seconds, though, since then I asked the question that brought us closer, “Are you Lithuanian?” I had asked, and with a small stutter and small eyes she replied a quiet “Yes.”

Then, as I wanted to say something, a grill, from another class but still my year came running into the area where we sat, and she close to yelled, “There’s a wounded horse that can be seen from the track field!”

And so I stood up with a start, with wide from excitement eyes, because who the fuck wouldn’t want to see a bleeding horse am I rite?, and ran away with that classmate.

And then we suddenly became bests of friends and now we beat each other up almost on a daily basis. Oh yeah, she also older, not to confuse you.
