The Beginning of Chaotic Stories
jamlockk, @besinaao3 and @holmesianpose tagged me to post the first sentence for each of my ten last written (updated?) fics. This turned out to be a lot fun; I had never thought about how I began my stories, not like this…
1 - It had been an easy choice. (Noise Reduction - PWP)
2 - you - a trespasser disrupting the dust (ignoring the dust as it settles - ‘poetry’)
3 - Awareness. (Pygalgia - ficlet)
4 - Geographically speaking, they’re still in London. (Anomie - ficlet)
5 - (It’s was never something that needed to be spoken out loud.) (Tacenda - ficlet)
6 - This isn’t the ancient points of light in the desert night sky. (Phosphene - ficlet)
7 - [If silver birds are circling the sky, the end is near. Remember that an aeroplane is nothing but a silver bird.] (Patterns of Silver Birds - WIP love story)
8 - “You shouldn’t spend so much time thinking, Sherlock.” (Shifts in Velocity - character study?)
9 - Finally. (Prosaic Retellings of Chemical Reactions - Neurotransmitter love story?)
10 - “Are you alright?” (Chaos and Codependency - Psychiatry love story?)
From this we can clearly deduce that I like to start my fics with some sort of short statement. Huh.
For this (unexpectedly fun experiment) I tag urbanhymnal iriswallpaper pennypaperbrain fleurdelis221b yourdykeinshiningarmor and hubblegleeflower (and, as always, only if you find it interesting!). Also, anyone else who wants to study how they begin their fics; consider yourself tagged!
How does yours start?
