Hunter taught, “The family is the most important unit in time and in eternity and, as such, transcends every other interest in life.” He had demonstrated this teaching in his own life years earlier when, realizing that he could not be in the entertainment industry and also have the family life he envisioned, he had packed up his instruments for good. However, the clarinet was occasionally unearthed to accompany Christmas carols at family gatherings.
