Today on Tuesday I had very interesting morning. Despite of the Tier 4 of next stupid lockdown, I took some time to walk on the streets in central London, and what I’ve seen was all of those beautiful and unusual pictures, drawings and the Bible Nativity represented in unconventional ways. Look what I found tucked away in an old notebook the other day.

It’s easy to look back and say the past was perfect and everything fine and dandy, but it wasn’t. My life doesn’t go back as far as the local blacksmith, I’m not that - senior!  When I was growing up, life was simpler, we just didn’t appreciate the simpleness. What I miss most is how people used to interact with each other. I remember how people had manners, no-one would swear in public, kids could amuse themselves without fear of being out alone, on the streets. People smiled, said hello and would often stop for a chat. Everyone in the neighbourhood knew who everyone was, knew all the kids, and the kids knew them.

I’m not saying life was better because in some ways it was harder, many things took longer to do, but things were different, and some of that differentness was better - I think.

All of this... is that wild to anyone else?! I have four cousins who just started awesome eras—two are high school seniors, one’s a hs freshman, and the other, a college freshman. These are my nuggets, people’s whose diapers I changed; and it just tickles me pink to see what parts of their personalities persist, no matter their age, but also how they’ve grown as humans.
