Yes please!
Give me an hour with a book and some tea and I’ll be happy all day.
You know how you put things off…and off. I first noticed a small hole in this sheet months ago! Well now it’s got so big I can put a pencil through it. Time to mend or tear it up for rags. Found a needle and thread sat for half an hour and now it lives another day. It’s not the neatest but I’m happy.

I like it, I reblog it….
I remember corner shops. Mind you, living in Australia, they weren’t as quaint as this one but they were on every corner! You knew the shopkeeper, they knew you and if sometimes you were short a few pennies “that’s okay luv, bring it t'morra”. Every day you’d be there, buying the papers, milk or bread, eggs, sugar and sometimes a bag of sweets! Ahhh, the memories.
So easy these days to snap a photo using my phone. Who would have thought such a change might happen with photography.
I’m a huge sticky beak and when I walk I look in shops, over fences, in parks, up high and down low! There’s little surprises waiting everywhere to be discovered.
Found these on a recent trip to Hobart.
Just think happy and you smile.
Seen while reading yesterday and I’m stunned!
Polishing my shoes is a job I enjoy. One of those mindless tasks that takes me away to a quiet place where I don’t need to think about anything. I hope this doesn’t happen here!
Found this in one of my old notebooks.
I used to make them for the girls when they were little. Pour into a icy pole mould, pop in a stick and Bob’s your uncle!
How many do you live by…..
Got to spend time in Hobart last week and visited the Farmers Market on Sunday. Amazing mushrooms and fresh vegetables and how’s the portable hand-washing thing! I’ve never seen one before and guessing it’s in response to covid. Brilliant idea!
Ever start to think…. There must be pieces missing! This one proved quite a challenge.
They’re much better fun when you share the job 😊
1000 pieces!

Small delights …. enjoying the first spoonful of froth from the top of a shop bought mocha.
I got this as a cutting last year. It only had two leaves when I planted it and I was very doubtful of success.
Look at it now!!
Makes me smile whenever I look at it.
When you sneak into the pantry to take a couple of pistachios out of the jar, and find the only ones left are the ones no-one else could crack open! 🎄🫣
Good things about Summer…….
vivid sunsets, juicy mangoes, ice cream, taking a picnic somewhere shady, having bare arms and not wearing socks, homegrown tomatoes, early morning walks while the air is cool, having windows open, long days, blue skies, salads for dinner, iced water and summer rain.
Five things we should all know how to do:
Sew on a button.
Boil an egg.
Reverse park a car.
Back-up all the stuff on your computer.
Swim.
To be honest, I don’t know how to do number 4 because that’s a job Steve always does.
I need to learn.
