It was three days that Toboe said he'd be gone. None of the wolves were all that worried. Their routine was an erratic one. They were constantly leaving their den, alone or in twos, or rarely--all together. Toboe had left alone. Three days passed and Kiba elected to go find him when the fourth rolled around with no red wolf in sight. Kiba thought it best for the others to remain in case Toboe did return, and went off to go look for the runt himself.
The sun was setting when he caught the younger wolf's scent. It was beacon for the blind wolf, and Kiba trotted in the direction it was coming.
Toboe! Toboe?
Kiba paused, eyes narrowing as he concentrated on the scent. He had to be around here somewhere.
