Sacrifice

Sacrifice is, as a lot of other things are, relative. I heard recently about a man who makes over a million dollars a month, this is his salary. He gets speeding tickets of around 3,000 a month. For him... What is a speeding ticket amount of 3,000? He would spend more on a family dinner is my guess.

Recently I have been stressing over money too. My salary is by no means bad. on the contrary, its fine. I can complain. However I will soon be leaving a comfort zone as my wife so dearly likes to remind me that it is one and I will have to start paying rent, large rent. To be honest, the rent is absurd, for what you get and the general local facilities or amenities...

To pay this type of rent in another country would be fine, you would get things for it, public parks, cafes around the area, at least 2 but probably 3 stops of public transport points within 5 mins, areas that are mixed, not just primarily labourers or just men, or just one nationality...

There would be sports halls or community centres for everyone not just locals where people could congregate and play sports or get together and do other things.

Here you will find only these things in the more expensive compounds where the rent is pretty fucking mind blowing ridiculous.

The point of sacrifice is to give something up for something greater. So in my case I am giving something up which is pretty fucking hard earned in the first place, in terms of stress and time. The most important being time. For something, which to be honest is pretty shit. Just taking an apartment alone for rent is not something that I am especially used to. I should be getting other things or benefits too. I am not. So it grates me. A lot.
