Beating Holiday Blues Tip #3 Smudge away the bad juju that may be in your mind and physical space. If you come to my house you will see all different types of smudge sticks just laying around that I use in my own ways of just letting crap go and reconnecting to my happy! This time of year I love lighting a cedar smudge stick while lighting a candle while I sit on a blanket on the ground in the grass with a blanket for added warmth draped around myself. I breathe into my abdomen for a count of 6 holding for a count of 4 then breathing out repeating for a cycle of 8 times. While breathing out I release the thoughts feelings, heaviness or whatever is weighing me down and remind myself that I am enough and welcome in things that are loving and kind. I also take this time to notice if there is any tension in a specific area of my body and take note and send love to that area a little bit more. Sometimes we can forget the reason of the season and need to cleanse out the negativity inviting in the good energies providing a sense of renewal and grounding to help with all the emotions that come with the holiday blues.
