The script for chapter one is done! Chapter one is 30 pages of the main story (written by E and drawn by me) and includes a 15 page backstory (written by me and drawn by E). Here are a couple of sample panels from the main story! Fun fact: when it came to what sort of person Shinji would be as an adult, we referenced a lot of Niles Crane from Frasier, especially when Niles gets bug-eyed and flustered.
As an addendum, here are some facts about the comic:
1) It's ShinKawo, so Shinji is the top (I think majority of the fandom prefers Shinji as the bottom? Either way, we hope you guys will still give this a read!)
2) It's NC-17, so tons of sex.

Here's another promo illustration for the Evangelion/Med School AU fan comic/spin off. We're excited that there are people excited and we hope to deliver a different kind of narrative while keeping true to the characters.
While we were throwing ideas and outlining the chapters, we referenced a lot of music for particular plot points and just getting the general tone of the story.

How To Save a Life is an Evangelion/ShinKawo comedy-drama AU fan comic. Drawn by Gee (an artist in animation from the magical land of LA) and written by E (the artist of Teahouse), the story follows Shinji, his relationship with Kaworu, and all the fun stuff that goes with how to deal with things when you're 26 years old and have no idea what you want out of life. Following his father's footsteps to become a doctor in a misguided attempt to gain his approval, Shinji navigates his final year of med school at Nerv University with mishaps and misfortunes, but learns a lot of lessons along the way.
HTSAL was first promoted at Sakuracon 2014. It's currently outlined as a 5-chapter series and Chapter 1 is planned to debut at YaoiCon 2014. This tumblr will be a deposit for developmental sketches and art.
