Spare the rod, and spoil the child! (Baekyeol/Chanbaek) Chanyeol begins his fifth year at Hogwarts on the wrong foot, Baekhyun is an elitist prefect who cannot stay out of trouble for better or for worse (though mostly for worse, unsurprisingly); Yifan has one huge Hufflepuff problem and Kyungsoo is bored out of his mind. Meanwhile, Lu Han despairs about Quidditch and life; yes indeed, the year is treating everyone well. However, something seems to be off, lately. Hogwarts is not in its usual state and it would take a little more than just curiosity for the inquisitive student to find out why.

Locomotor Wibbly (When I See You)  (Xiuhan) Half-Veela Luhan is dazzling to almost everyone, except for Minseok. This is the first time Luhan actually has to not let his Veela powers do the work for him and with the help of his mischievous friends he will do just that.

Something to Thank the Goblet For (Baeksoo) The Triwizard Tournament is held at Hogwarts, and as a twist and extra safety measure, the Tournament will be done in partners. When teamwork and cooperation are needed, it's a battle between Slytherin's Pureblood Pride Kyungsoo and Gryffindor's Muggle-Born Debonair Baekhyun in reality.

Mysterious Ways (Baeksoo) Asking his ex-boyfriend's arch-rival to the yule ball had seemed like a good idea, but as usual, things don't work out as planned.

i actually wanted to get more into hpau slytherin gwaine and then shit happened aka rvb happened BUT here i am now

so pureblood through and through except his dads family thinks his moms family is literal garbage upon the earth and want nothing to do with any of them, they send howlers, they are the actual hugest jerks 

he gets a real nasty taste in his mouth about purebloods even though he is one??? he has his mom’s last name and he keeps his dad’s name under wraps no matter what bc FUCK THAT

like, i picture gwaine as one of those students people meet on the train or in the halls sometime and they all immediately think “oh look a gryffindor”. he’s charming, he’s social, he’s brave and reckless and a shameless flirt. he’s always starting fights and getting involved in ones that have nothing to do with him. almost everything about him screams gryffindor nerve/chivalry, until something happens and it doesnt

see, one of the things i like about gwaine’s early characterization (before i guess the merlin writers took on way too many regulars and had to shave him down to something flatter) is how angry and unhappy he really is beneath the surface? he rolls through the world on a self-created tidal wave of reckless masochism. he’s angry at nobles. he’s angry at his father for dying. he’s angry with himself. he put on good cheer and humor, but it always had a sharp edge cutting through it. 

and when things went well for his writing in the last two seasons, that edge got to shine through. gwaine’s a good person, but he has a deepseated ruthlessness that he’s used to wielding as a weapon all its own. he doesnt mercifully spare enemies, especially not when he’s ‘singing for his supper’ in s4. gwaine gives killing blows. his skills are sharp, his mind is sharp, and his tongue is sharper. he wants to prove his worth but also doesn’t want to care about proving his worth. what a regular humdinger 

i just very much like this idea bc otherwise he’s a gryffindor that people are sometimes like “oh holy shit what was that” when he decimates a kid who was bullying a half-blood
