James Sirius Potter
James Sirius Potter is a Gryffindor through and through. Rumour has it that everyone knew since the day he was born. And there has never been a doubt since.
He lives quidditch. Plays chaser like his namesake, and is damned good at it.
Obviously, he supports Puddlemere. Because “the best only support the best, and Puddlemere are the best. You are WRONG Fred. We always beat the f*cking Magpies, they’re ridiculous mate”.
Unlike his brother, he doesn’t hate being famous. Don’t get me wrong, he doesn’t love it. But, it’s not the worst thing in the world.
Speaking of his brother, James is allowed to talk smack about him whenever. He can talk smack about his brother whenever he wants. But, and lets make this clear, only Potters (and maybe some Weasley’s) are allowed to genuinely insult his siblings. Trust me, he will not hesitate to ensure that anyone else who does, will have to be immediately enrolled in the hospital wing. Are we clear?
He loves being the oldest (everyone treats him like it), but he hates the ancestors. He hates the expectations, how everything that he is, he’s doing it after his grandfather, or his father, or his mother. Play quidditch? You’re just like your parents. Likes to prank every now and then? You’re just like your grandfather. No matter what he does he’ll never be original.
It was third year that this really caught on to him. That he really started to let it get on his nerves. Thankfully there was Teddy, his idol, who understood. And so he adopted the “if you can't beat ‘em, join ‘em” mentality.
James knows that he’s never going to be amazing as his parents or his grandparents. He knows that whatever he does he’ll be constantly compared to the rest of ‘em. And he’s okay with that. No, really. Honestly, he is.
