Grammar note:
Twice in the video, IshiKai went ‘nantsuttene~’ (なんつってね). It’s kind of hard to translate because it deals a lot with the undertones and nuances of the words. (Also once again, the japanese characters didn’t make it through the hardcoding process -.- even though it worked in aeigsub...)
The closest meaning is ‘yeah right’ in the negative sense. (see double positive joke) ‘Nantsuttene’ (sometimes nanchatte is also used) is a very casual form of ‘nantoitte’ (なんといって), where ‘tsutte’ means ‘itte’ which just means to say something (please do not use this with strangers/seniors unless you know what you’re talking about). It’s like jokingly self-quoting or trying to say you don’t really mean what you were saying the sentence before. In the video, Murase says “Kaito’s photos are really good!” Ishikawa replies “I know, nantsuttene~”, basically jokingly saying he knows his photos are good but don’t really mean it. Hope this explanation works...

So I’ve decided to listen to some new radio series, preferably by ‘younger’ seiyuus instead of the usual 70s/80s seiyuus I listen to xD. Since I’ve watched Haikyuu and quite enjoyed it (but I’m not a hardcore fan so don’t ask me who is my favorite ship or character blah blah blah lol I mean Kuroo is a given), thought I’ll give the series a listen, chanced upon some YT channel that does Jp subs and they were hilarious! (eg: here, here and here)
However, my old habit of listening from the beginning is not letting up, so yep, I’m still listening to 2014 episodes...that being said, while the first subbed video from me is episode 0, I might not be subbing the others chronologically. Also, sorry if there are overlaps but I’m kinda lazy to check which episodes have been translated or subbed... >.> I’m just gonna listen and sub whichever parts I feel like releasing. I don’t intend to sub episodes in full for obvious reasons. For the video ones...well I haven’t watched them so idk what I plan to do with those yet ._. Everything is TBA atm!
In this 0th episode, it seems that IshiKai and Murase are still kind of formal towards each other. But all that is gonna change gradually...actually it changed by Ep #1. Seriously I’m still very confused when I hear Murase whining about stuff IshiKai did or said...he sounds more girl than me.........O_O
From what I see, the Haikyuu fandom seems to be pretty huge. If there are any artists that don’t mind me using your fanarts as thumbnails or placeholder pics, please share me a link or something TQVM m(_ _)m!
