Suddenly summer came and attacked me, the innocent victim who just wanted to enjoy spring in peace
To all you fancy folks who get to see TOY live--I don't think I like you. Nope.
(I have been reading in French a lot lately so Belgium has been on the mind)
Two things that I have remembered recently about my host mom that make me grumpy:
1. She totally tricked me into eating blood sausage and it was AWFUL. (This isn't a super terrible thing, but it is annoying and also ugh i wish it had tasted good because it sounds so awesome.)
2. I wasn't ever allowed to have alone time! Because being alone was being selfish. She told me once that reading was the most selfish thing someone could do. Which---I mean--I....I just simply cannot HANDLE THE TERRIBLENESS OF THAT COMMENT. So if there were people in the house, I had to be downstairs with them watching "Little House on the Prairie" (or whatever, but it was often that Tv show for some odd reason) instead of being in my room doing my own thing (which at the time was collage-ing and reading, I think). The only valid reason to not be downstairs with the family, said my host mom, was if I happened to be taking a nap. So...I just started taking naps ALL THE TIME. To be fair, i often DID need to take because trying to learn French and go to school and deal with a family and all of that was super super exhausting. But on the other hand--I just remember constantly forcing myself to fall asleep in the afternoon so that I could have a few moments to myself. And that wasn't a lot of fun.
IN CONCLUSION, fuck you myriam, once again.
ugggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh this computer wont let me watch netflix instant because it is damn ubuntu, aka THE WORST THING EVER.
I mean. I guess it's cool in that this computer wouldn't work (or wouldn't work well? I dunno.) if not in ubuntu but whyyyyyyyyyyyy can't ubuntu let programs run easily? WHY IS EVERYTHING A HASSLE
