This isn't even like the tip of the iceberg when it comes to flaws in homestuck but man wasn't it fucked up how none of the gay characters acrually Say they're gay including Dirk, the only Explicitly Only Attracted To His Own Gender character (correct me if im wrong on that but im... pretty sure?), who went so far as to denounce "gay" as a label for his orientation... andrew hussie is a straight writer and its really homophobic for him to have his gay characters avoid labelling their sexualities. Dave doesn't get to seriously talk about his relationship with his best friend, Dirk is a predatory gay male that traps his friend in an unhealthy relationship, rose and kanaya are given very little canon romantic exchanges, and I could go on. He doesn't deserve credit for saying All of Homestuck Is Gay when he hardly puts that into practice, especially after starting off the comic with two male friends exchanging homophobic banter (even if Dave was supposed to be suffering from internalized homophobia, that isnt a topic that's appropriate for a het dude to explore.)

not a huge fan of shipping either of the (little) twins with any of the other companions, largely bc i feel like the others are all kind of in hawke’s cohort so it seems like a weird gap....... they should date people closer to their age just imo.

G-D THE SHIPPING CHART........... davejade is Okay but i’m only so so on how it plays out in canon (such as... it is), for some reason i have never been into JE/rose and don’t really feel differently abt it with june........ more a fan of jaderosekan for rose (not with whatever’s going on in hs2 tho) and kinda like both junerox and juneter tho shamefully im still a junevris person at heart. none of that tells you WHY i feel any of those ways but
