HSETAU
This title is like Alphabet Soup. I only RECENTLY (like, by staring at this title on the spreadsheet I have a long time) realized that it actually has a point. Let me break it down: HS = Homestuck. ET = Extra Terestrial, aka the Stephen Spielberg joint with Reese Pieces I think? And AU = Alternative Universe. Simple, easy title, tells you everything you need to know.
Specifically, this is a webcomic adaption of the “Stabdads” AU, where the midnight crew is governmentally assigned a troll to take care of and have fun, whole shenanigans with. It’s…a fun concept, at least? Idk but this one has been recommended several times, AND it has a lot of favourites, so I’m expecting something interesting at least.
Oh hey if you hover over the pictures it brings up a little ID of what the panel even looks like. I guess it’s for screen readers? That’s a nice accessibility feature that you don’t often see in Fanadventures, so that’s always nice to see. Neat.
Ahhhh…I see. It’s a reverse Stabdad, in that, the ET aliens are the Carapacians, the Midnight Crew, and all the Homestuck Trolls are, in fact, Human. Neat little subversion? At least, neat premise. I think the reason why this is charming me is that it’s doing a lot. Like, usually, in a Homestuck AU, there would be the one central concept, one central hook, which this has—what if the Carapacians went to Earth? Oh, but there’s more! Because not only do we have a Humanstuck AU, we also have kind of like, a Kidstuck AU going on at the same time? So basically, this is swinging for the fences and I appreciate that.
Yep. This is a pretty nice one right here. I would say that this is probably the best execution of this premise that I can think of, so if the premise of the Fanadventure speaks to you AT ALL, you should probably check this one out!
Ok spoilers for HSETAU if you aren't caught up with the current pages, putting my rambling under a cut just in case
Ok, so. In this newest update PM mentions The Black Queen having a "Super Soldier"
Note the Specific use of the word "Disintegrated".
In a previous page, towards the start of the comic we get this:

I'm not sure if I can get a screen shot of the frames that flash in the panel because of how fast it goes, but it's CLEARLY a split second glimpse of Jack Noir under the influence of The Ring of Orbs Four-Fold [or possibly Twelve-Fold considering the amount of tentacles visible]
And during the scene of Slick attempting to comfort Karkat after the "Sprite Flip" incident, he reveals that he's already got cybernetics/prosthetics.
And lastly, there's the author's assignment of Classpect for him
Which IIRC was in a response to an ask about headcanons? And normally I wouldn't take a discussion on headcanon to be directly factual, however just given the general evidence it's INSANELY likely that Slick is the "Super Soldier" that PM talks about.
Slick's cybernetics/prosthetics could be a result of how he was stripped of the Ring's power, eg. He could've had the arm bearing the ring amputated, either via battle wound or voluntarily. And with the mention of him being forced to "Destroy with Danger" during the war and the Rage making him "A Human Nuke" [Human of course in air quotes], it stands to reason that using the power of the ring turned him into a monster, and that same power could've Disintegrated the BQ/Snowman.
If im right about literally any of this im going to lose my fucking mind. I will become like, TEN MILLION TIMES more mentally ill about HSETAU Slick I swear to god.
