Invitations do not come as a surprise after the beautiful announcement of the couple's engagement that hinted the date was closer than anyone could imagine. What surprised the receivers was that the first envelope to arrive wasn't sent or signed by either the bride or groom. No, the invitation came in the name of the, so far only heard of, Duke of Minas Gerais, who insisted on opening his own palace in Belo Horizonte on the 17th to welcome the couple's guests and throw them the most extravagant rehearsal dinner.

☾ ° › TO THE WEDDING OF

The second envelope however contained the information everyone was expecting to read: the wedding ceremony is set to take place during the late afternoon of the 19th at the Botanical Garden of São Paulo, followed by a reception at the Ipiranga Palace, the official residency of The Imperial Princess of Brazil. The fine print of the invitation also had information of an after-party in the wee hours, for those who still had the energy, at the Princess' private island.
