hey i was thinking maybe the motive in the sudden swapkin increase is that since hs is over, people spend less time waiting for updates and combing for memories, looking at meta or trying to put together their own timeline with the source text. because of this, people have more time to think freely about their kinhood and memories through a creative eye, and feel more freedom to diverge from canon because they're no longer searching for answers there. people tend to worry (from my perspective, at least!) about their memories being specific and separate from the source, and never finding canonmates. as someone who's been swapkin for a white, i can understand the feeling. however, due to people thinking more and more about the possibility of swap timelines, and more people confirming, it's become a bit of a movement. anyway, this is just my thoughts. let me know what you think. hash tag game theory, you know?
