HSR: Frail Scholar Teaches Hoolay A Lesson | 3.2 AS IV-II

Well, well, well, look who decided to show up.

Hello! I'm finally returning after a much longer break than I anticipated. I didn't plan on making any videos this patch because I've been a bit miffed with endgame as a whole these last six months. However, the Hoolay Apocalyptic Shadow mechanics have been a blast to mess around with and I didn't want to waste the opportunity.

That being said, I pulled e1 Anaxa yesterday (unintentionally, while fishing for a singular copy of Dan Heng) and figured I might as well put him up to the test. Not a surprise to say that, even without having fully maxed out traces, he did exceptionally well for himself. I tried out quite a few different teams with Anaxa as my main damage dealer, all with varying degrees of success, and this team proved to be the best of the best:

I don't think I've had this much fun with AS in quite a while. It's still my favorite endgame mode by a long shot, but it hasn't had very many fond moments as of late. Hoolay's battle is a really nice example of the types of interesting mechanics that the Devs can implement when they're not shilling to sell a specific character or tacking on a ridiculous amount of HP for seemingly no reason.

All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed the 3.2 AS and I hope that it wasn't just a one off because that would be incredibly disappointing to see...

Alright, I don't think Starward Mode is that bad, but I think converting a two team content to three team content isn't the way to go. Yes, yes, you can convert the mode back to two team content instead, but this new mode gives a few extra stellar jades, which could help some f2p or low spend players out (if they need it).

I wish the Starward Mode felt more optional to do. Kinda like Anomaly, where it's a test of your skills rather than a necessity. There shouldn't be any pressure to do this mode and adding stellar jades upon completing it is adding pressure (even if it's less than a pull).

However, it was fun to use my Acheron on my second account for the first time in a long time 🥹 I've missed my girl.

This new MOC was something...

All characters (except Tribbie who's E1S0) are E0S1, but good god did I have to brute force on the first side. Sam himself wasn't bad, but he had a lot of HP. Same with Hoolay.

If you have to increase the HP for such old bosses, Hoyo, you're doing something extremely wrong with your balancing of playable characters.
