Congratulations, Hails, on receiving the role of Hannah Abbott. I am soooo excited to have a Hannah and I’m sure I’ll love her as much as I love your Dean. I really liked your emphasis on how hard she strives to be a good person despite (and because of) the struggles in her life. You definitely captured that Hannah I was trying to frame in my skeleton and I cannot wait to see her in action.

Congratulations, Indie, on receiving the role of Alicia Spinnet. I just saw your app, so rather than updating the count, I figured I should just accept very slightly early. I’m so excited to have more graduates in the group and I love seeing how much you’ve developed Alicia’s past. You took everything I included in her skeleton and expanded on them in ways I never would have thought of. I can already imagine Alicia defending her store against Death Eaters during the event.

Obviously we know that you’re an incredible writer, and your Seamus application was everything I envisioned for him when I wrote his skeleton. Congratulations, Julia, on receiving the role of Roger Davies. Once again, I loved reading your app, not only because your writing is so sharp but because you do a great job of conveying exactly who a character is and where they’re going. You’ve already built in a lot of who Roger is but with a lot of room to explore and for him to grow through his interactions. He’s the only character I gave a Rowan wand to (haha) and I love Ansel so I guess you could say I have a soft spot for him and I’m super ready to see him on the dash. I also like how you’ve managed to work in a way for him to be around the castle on occasion.

Congratulations, Snow, on receiving the role of Miles Bletchley. This is a character that we definitely had to build from the ground up, and you took the bullets we managed to come up with and turned them into something amazing. The way you described him was so consistent throughout the app, and you’ve really sketched him out in a way that I think will add an amazing dynamic to the group. Congratulations, Hails, on receiving the role of Dean Thomas. Waking up to a Dean application was the best way to start my Wednesday, and it being such an awesome application was even better. Dean is one of my favorite characters in the entire series and your application lived up to every expectation I had. I love your interpretation of him, and I love how strong of a grip you have on who you think he is. I can’t wait to start interacting with your Dean and I know he’ll be a wonderful addition to the dash.

Congratulations, Vic, on receiving the role of Parvati Patil. I really need to stop referencing parts of applications that only I can see, but seriously your description of Parvati was perfect and your justification for her interest in gossip is exactly what I’ve always believed. I also loved seeing you start to delve into her relationship with her family and hopefully we’ll get a Padma soon. And a Lavender. Until then, I can’t wait to see Parvati on the dash!

Congratulations, Neece, on receiving the role of Blaise Zabini. I could not be more thrilled to have your Blaise here and even that is an understatement. Seeing your ideas for his family and upbringing was so interesting and you definitely accounted for things I hadn’t even thought about. It looks like we now have all of the Slytherins currently at school and I can’t wait to see what Blaise brings to the group (other than more undying love from me).
