another deleted scene from How to build a family, with less Anakin meddling and more Rex meddling instead (and no pregnancy-related medical emergencies. this version had too little Drama for me)
"General Kenobi."
"At ease, Rex. What brings you here?"
"May I speak freely, sir?"
"Of course," Obi-Wan gestures for him to come in. He has no idea what could Rex possibly want with him, but that's no reason to be rude and keep him standing on the door.
"Please, sit down."
Rex does, somewhat awkwardly. "It's a private matter, sir. About Cody."
"What about Cody?"
"Are you aware that he's been trying to make his interest towards you clear for months now?"
Obi-Wan looks stunned.
"Surely it was quite obvious?" Rex can't resist asking. Cody has been anything but subtle, always touching the General way more than necessary, checking up on him, providing anything he could and simply... being there, always.
"Well, maybe at first, I thought that might be what he was doing. But after I found out I was pregnant, I just chalked it up to Alpha instincts. You said yourself how protective some of the vode can get."
"With all due respect, sir, there's protective Alpha and there's starry eyed, head over heels Alpha. The two things look very different."
Obi-Wan chuckles. "I was rather preoccupied with the war effort, Rex. Those inconvenient Seps might have distracted me from Cody's wooing attempts."
"But those attempts were not unwelcome?"
Obi-Wan ponders his response for a moment. It's clear what he should say. And yet, maybe for the first time in his life, he can't bring himself to say the right thing, the responsible thing. "They were not unwelcome."
It's as if a weight has lifted from his chest, letting him breathe more freely. He thinks even the tiny bundle of cells that is his child is reacting to his joy and fear. While it's too soon to feel them move, he has to resist the urge to place a hand on his belly. He is trying to look at least somewhat put together, even though he has the feeling that Rex can see straight through him.
"Shall I tell Cody you're looking for him, then?" Rex asks with a smirk as he stands up and makes for the door.
"Please do."

"General?" Cody asks, peering inside from the open door.
"Cody, come in," Obi-Wan responds with a smile he hopes looks relaxed and welcoming.
Cody's face pinches up in worry immediately. "Are you alright?"
Clearly, this is not going as well as he hoped.
