“The creative act lasts but a brief moment, a lightning instant of give-and-take, just long enough for you to level the camera and to trap the fleeting prey in your little box.” – Henri Cartier-Bresson
Technology has always been a complimentary chapter for the history of art. Ironically the lack of it has also been a gateway to creativity.
Although I take great passion and interest into my gears and believe in an emotional attachment to it, but I do not base my creativity on it (at least solely). Photographers will always look for better and convenient gears, this is how it works but will never allow the lack of it to restrict their vision,
As a new and struggling law practitioner my work load and time schedule is not that kind to me. I often work 7 days a week and I kindda love it. But whenever I get chance I compensate myself with a long or short photography walks on the streets of London. When I don't have my X100 and X Pro 1 with me, I try to make the best use of my phone camera and try to take pictures… If it's not good I lose nothing, but if I like it…hey that's when things get golden.
These two pictures are captured with my relatively old HTC 1. It has a camera that can capture pictures…I guess that's more than enough for me. The fist picture I took when I went to meet an accountant with my senior. The second one I took on a day when the business meeting ended up in a Black Label session and all went for a walk for some fresh air.
After all "Life happens where ever you're, it need's not approval"…Same goes for photography…
