The clouds might have hidden the Machapuchare but they added so much character to the Mohare Danda trek. Back in Pokhara now. The last 5 days have been exhilarating! I have walked through so many changing landscapes, visited so many remote villages and seen some entirely new Himalayan ranges. Not bad at all, for the first visit to Nepal. Morning views of Day 4. We are at 3300 metres. At Mohare Danda. In front here are the 12 peaks, Baraha Shikhar of the Dhaulagiri range. The Annapurna range to the south, shrouded in clouds eludes us. The Machapuchare gave us a mild glimpse last evening, but not enough for the camera to see it. Ending the series of the #moharedandatrek with this memorable sight. A beautiful little village Tikot, opening up the the valleys facing the Dhaulagiri and the Annapurna range. I am thinking of this trek as a recce for a longer, much longer visit to Nepal. Because how can you not come back, when it's all so beautiful! These were all images with my humble #Motorola phone. "Horses grazing in the early morning light at Dayara Bugyal" is the literal title I have given this image uploaded on @smugmug. That's the platform we have used to store our images for a few years now. That's also the source of the images we use on the blog. No complaints. This is how I imagine the Scottish highlands to be! The Himalayas are much younger mountains, but there's something about this sight that just says old wisdom. Maybe being surrounded by some of the highest places on earth does that.
