Comment is an HTML code, which is not read by the browser.  And this code is not shown in the webpage. That is, the content which is written inside the HTML Comment Tag. Only Browsers and Developers can see it. End users cannot view this content. Using comments in coding HTML document is a professional skill. Which brings you into the category of a Professional Web Developer. Most experienced developers use HTML Comments. Therefore we will also advise you to use it.

Comment is defined by Comment Tag in HTML Document. By the way, Comment Tag has been removed in HTML 5. Nevertheless, some browsers still support the Comment Tag. Internet Explorer is the best example of this.

What is HTML comments

HTML comments are a way to add notes or annotations to your HTML code that are not displayed in the web browser when the web page is viewed.  We can also understand it like this there are some codes or lines in HTML which we have to hide from the browser, then we use HTML comments tags. They are primarily used for documenting your code, explaining its purpose, or making notes to yourself or other developers who might work on the same code in the future.

HTML comments are written within <!-- and --> tags, like this:
