so how we feeling about the new season?
Ahhh! Well, honestly I think it was a typical “season 2” season. I’m always scared of second seasons because I always get so disappointed, and this one was kinda like that too. It feels like a transitional stage of the show where all the things that no one wants to see, but that need to happen, happen. This season felt like that, which understandably also makes underwhelming. I wasn’t really expecting anything MaryAna, so I’m not surprised by their lack of screen time together, although frustrating. I think the whole fake relationship could be a great build up for the eventual MaryAna endgame. Like are they going to pretend being in a relationship next season? sign me up! Regarding the characters, Ana was the opposite of what I thought lol. She was very calm and collected. I feel like Mariana turned out to be how I was imagining Ana in the first three episodes. And good God I thought that I disliked Juan Carlos last season, but he is unbearable this season, I can’t stand him holy shit he is so fkn insufferable. He also got so much screen time, I really would’ve wanted to see more of Ana and Mariana rather than JC. Or at least more of Elena. She didn’t get a whole lot of screen time. Tere and Victor got like a proper plot which was unexpected and Idk how to feel about that since Victor was a complete douchebag in S1… and now Tere’s pregnant? I wonder where they’re going with that plot lol. Ferrán… hmm I don’t know how to feel about him. I wasn’t thinking they’d make him and Mariana a ‘legit’ couple (ugh). I just know that I started to root for Pablo for a while there because he got so annoying, and he totally deserved that punch, very satisfying. And Idk about Pablo either. Tbh I can understand him regarding Regina. The whole Ferrán thing developed so quickly, I don’t think it even was believable that Ana encouraged Mariana to travel with him and Regina after having known him for weeks? She’d never do that. Even if she’s calmer now lol. But I have to say that I absolutely loved everything Ana+Ceci. That was one of the things I really wanted to happen in season 2 and I think they did a great job. The kids are great, and I really liked that they added so much of Ana and the children. Btw, Juan Carlos really had the fkn nerve to complain that Ana worked too much and didn’t spend enough time with the family, when he can’t even change a diaper?? Ughhhhhh I can’t stand him seriously. Anyways, I also liked that the grandmas got more time, I really enjoy them xd. Oh, and I expect everyone to apologize to Cynthia next season. Poor Cynthia, I enjoyed her too! The somos más que socias saved the season, without any doubts whatsoever. It would’ve been a real mess without it since the lack of Ana and Mariana. It also feels like they know they’re getting a third season, which makes this ending acceptable. This ending otherwise is not very satisfying. The kiss is great but there’s so much left unanswered. The S1 ending was easier to come to a certain conclusion to but idk about this one. Like they rushed the whole fake relationship idea in the last 10 mins and then it ended. I would’ve much rather watched Mariana’s reaction to Ana’s idea and how they planned everything instead of watching JC and Pablo.
Although this season as a whole was underwhelming, everything that happened here probably will be necessary for the two of them to eventually finally end up together.
