Randi’s eyes carefully scanned her classmates as she ventured down the blue tiled hall. She had just managed to escape the grasp of her best friend, whom had been insisting since first period that Randi was acting strange. Which, she was. How could she not? Ever since she woke up this morning, Randi could have sworn her hearing had become more sensitive. Normally, it would take her at least until the bus pulled up to her house to realize she had to leave. Yet, today, she heard it at least three houses away. To make matters worse, she was also convinced she was going mad. Upon listening to her math teacher’s lecture, Randi sworn she heard the sound of gibberish escape the women’s mouth instead of the English language. Yet, the laughter of her classmates convinced her it wasn’t just her who heard this phenomenon. Yes, today was indeed strange.
