“Thanks for coming out.” It sounded so fucking stupid out loud but he swallowed any embarrassment down with a sip of whiskey in the glass in his hands. It was a decent bar, not worthy of the ‘No Sleep Tour’ but not super expensive either. Wasn’t too busy, wasn’t too flashy. Made for a perfect neutral ground for this kind of thing. He hadn’t really expected Hudson to say yes to actually meeting up with him, but he wanted it to be in a spot neither of them would be uncomfortable. It felt like a step forward, being able to see each other outside of Hudson’s place or the family home. When he thought about it, he didn’t think he’d ever really sought out his eldest siblings company this way. To be sitting beside him for a couple of drinks felt more than a little weird, but he was going to roll with it. Weirder things had happened. “So what’s going on with you?” Which also sounded fucking stupid, but he was genuinely curious. @hcdtallxs
