The Ghost of You || Hudson & Rosalie

The day after Devon’s funeral, Rosalie just felt empty. It still didn’t feel real. She still didn’t want to admit that her sister was never coming home. That her sister would never get to test another one of her recipes for her. No more smiling. No more laughing. It all just felt dark. It all just felt black. A thought revisited her mind from earlier this week. Did death have to be so permanent in a world of magic? Was there anyway she could get her sister back? Was there hope? The small, brunette shifter tended to work better if there was something to hope for. If there was a light at the end of this long dark tunnel. 

Rosalie scrolled through her phone looking for one specific number that she wasn’t even sure if she still had. There is was: Hudson Tallis. If anyone knew anything about this subject and might actually be able to keep her coming to him a secret, it was him. Yet, she still had some doubt that he would admit it was doable. It was most likely something dangerous and could be costly. Rosalie didn’t care about the ramifications; she just needed to know if it was possible.

Meet me at The Coffee Shop at 9 pm tonight. The text was to the point and straightforward. The Coffee Shop was open until 11:30 pm and she knew that it wasn’t a place any of her siblings frequented. When it got to the meeting time, she made it to the shop and got herself something before taking a sip from it as she stared blankly forward to see if she could see the eldest Tallis.
