Today’s 🌈Acepril-Huevember “””Complimentary””” Color Challenge🌈 installment is ALSO doubling as an Elysium Kiddo Birthday!!! It’s Røkia’s FIRST BIRTHDAY TODAYYYYY

Seen here with his big huge pupils and his baby-sized cake just special for him, which he’s so excited about, Røki loves eating frosting and wearing little birthday hats (canonically. Eisa & Myra have had such fun sticking hats on him for all previous birthdays this year) and today is his special day. [THIS PIC ALSO MATCHES ITS REVERSE COLORS, SEEN HERE]

The only person more flabbergasted than his parents about how INSANELY QUICKLY this past year went is ME, vividly remembering drawing 1,000 comic pages last year about Røkia inside his ridiculous mommy’s belly and now uh, he’s already ONE?! How is that even possible. Aaaaaa

I don’t have TOO much exciting drama to update anyone on and certainly no comics - drowning in Huevembers plus as we know, this year Fenixe & I have been uber busy and so we’ve been on a loosely casual hiatus/slowdown this year, buuuut— this year Røkia’s gotten BIGGER; still no first words - (will he talk! remains to be seen!) - but he does breathe fire; loves to flap his wings, one day he’ll certainly be airborne!

AND I can tell you in the past month specifically Røkia’s parents have doubled down on, (seemingly and kinda finally specifically?!?), actually validating that they ARE in a relationship, which was already kinda canonically hilariously Determined last year but well, Loki never takes anything at face value. Maci and Tory are still trying to get him to catch on uhhh. He’s almost getting it. They’ll have been dating for TWO years before he finally believes them fgfffgfk

HIATUS OR NOT Røkia gets his cake today surrounded by all three of his parents and , unseen in the background, his PILE of siblings, and iiiiiiiiii will just be over here with Fenixe bawling again that our babies are growing up so fast what the fuck. someone’s gonna have to have another kid I s2g 😭

Aahhhhhh haaaaa. Maci’s own FATHER the King of the Land of the Dead himself, original Wife Guy, and also uh….. Maci’s number one Hater 😅 it’s okay, they’re VERY estranged from each other - though I’d love to get him in current Canon just for brief chaos, he hasn’t appeared in a very very long time. Hasn’t even met any of Maci & Tory’s children beyond Neo when she was a newborn. Just glowering over there in the “Main Palace” of the Underworld, stewing and Hating and frowning, 24/7.

…At least in the springtime.

As is customary Leuke makes an appearance just about every art challenge I do because she still, to this date, has not appeared in any actual canon, just merely as a figure of Maci’s pre-Elysium past. But she sure does exist!!! AND peeking behind her as a doubly fun cameo back there, none other than the OTHER flower-nymph-turned-Lampad-nymph of the Elysium’verse - In fact now that I’ve recently revealed some fun facts about Rane’s mom Ev (here!), it’s occurred to me that these two, living as they are in the same big pile o’ nymphs, could….. dareisay……. interact……

well! Anything is possible and who knows what they could be doing way way offscreen (cause neither of them are appearing onscreen, Current Canon, any time soon lmao) 😇 I………. Will revisit that thought possibly lmao

this issssss my second fave Huevember of the month so far, my third fave comes later but I still haven’t finished them all so my final ranking might be rearranged? but for now!!

OOOOHHHHHH I DON’T DRAW BEZERKER MODE TORY ENOUGH…. or ever, really!!! ooo it’s been many years in Elysium since Tory was angry enough for his eyes to turn black like this but it’s certainly happened.

Ohhhh when you’re a person prone to RAGE and work your whole life to control that violence you’re worried is inside you and then yadda yadda yadda You Become A God and the Fates decide that your Fated Realm should encompass that Rage and Wrath

and you become the divine personification of The Grudge, of SEETHING and never letting go

and you are a KIND and loving person and you will not be consumed by the fire and rage and wrath

but every so often some fuckass with a scythe tries to push your buttons.

•Final form Neo HAS settled in at her adult height of Taller Than Maci & Tory which I deeply love so much. Ohh makes the weirdness of the un-aged immortality of the gods even worse - eventually evening out as the same AGE as your eternally young adult mother, and also now you’re towering over her? huh👁️

•OKAY I GUESS THIS IS MY FORMAL ANNOUNCEMENT THAT I AM IN FACT CHANGING THE WAY I DRAW MACI’S DEFAULT CHITON though bear in mind it’s always canonically LOOKED like that, really, she’s only ever worn Ancient Greek style (slutty) chitons, I am just an incredibly lazy artist. well!!! no more!!! I’ve all of a sudden grown very attached to this new luk

•bi colors…………. Is Neo bi???? (Maci’s technically pan by her specification) well though she’s only ever canonically had a crush on Icy, uhhhh no one in Elysium is straight. So. Well.

•I wonder what they’re talking about :-) Neo & Maci’s relationship fascinates me they’re soooo different from each other and certainly Maci has made Mistakes stemming from being a deeply traumatized parent but the difference is she did catch it and go to therapy about it and took steps to fix it before anything went catastrophic, around the time Neo was like 11-12-13, so— I think they’re in a very okay place now. especially as Neo’s become a young adult 🥹 Maci’s very protective of Neo, needlessly since Neo feels no fear and takes no shit, but as the TaKi Fuego debacle has proven, Neo’s also apparently very protective of her silly and naive scatterbrained mother???? Their canon interactions are few and far between but they make me soooo…

My “things to draw after Huevember” mental list is so absurdly long, in part because I spent the whole year fucking around instead of accomplishing anything at all, and drawing more of Evanthe - EeL’s ex and Rane’s mom - hassss for sure been at the top of that list for months but I still won’t be getting around to anything anytime soon I’m sure 😭

She made an appearance in the background of Leuke’s Huevember day with these opposite colors, just in her current Lampad-nymph appearance rather than her original flower nymph style from several years prior. In fact she looked like this still - how you see her here!! - back when Rane was first born, even for a little while she was a toddler up until she stopped playing on again/off again with EeL and FORMALLY moved out of the palace. (And then continued playing on again/off again from a distance lmao)

Iiiiii think Rane’s relationship with her mother is… um, complicated? 💞 And I don’t think she remembers Ev looking any other way than the way she does now, where she’s living happily in her pile o’ goth nymph friends, but there was once a time…….
