Treehouses for the Adult
My childhood was marked with hours hiding from my evil older sister, who used to chase me around our house and torment me by squishing my nose down (which was weird, but a horrible and effective way to tease a little sister). I used to find all the nooks and crannies of our house in Maryland to avoid the psychologically damaging torture. Flash forward 20 years and we decided to start a company together (who would have guessed that?), but when I stumbled across this article on Huffington Post Home that showcased eight incredible treehouses around the world, I immediately thought about how useful any one of these would have been when I was a little munchkin and hiding from the most evil person in all the land.
This one is actually part of a Bed and Breakfast in Italy - La Piantata Bed and Breakfast.
Located in Japan, this treehouse is surrounded by cherry blossoms.
Totally eco-friendly cabins (if that's your type of thing) designed by a German design firm
This one is actually a resting place for the Doors' guitarist, Robby Kreiger. Location: California (duh)
Rent this one (with up to five of your friends!) during your next trip to China!
This is part of the Treehotel in Sweden
Germans seem to really love their treehouses! This one was built around a pear tree and was a gift from a husband to his wife (does he have a brother that I could date? This is the best gift ever)
This one lights up in Toronto
