Hufflepuff!AU-Scarrow

I can’t take it anymore. I need to talk to you. Yes I know this owl will be reaching you sometime around 2 a.m. and I’m sorry I told Newton to keep pecking you till you read it but I really can’t take it anymore. I can’t stand another minute of this uncertainty.
I’m sorry I said all these terrible things to you please can you forgive me?
The truth is I wanted to kiss you. It wasn’t a mistake and I’m only sorry I was such a coward.
I have been in love with you for years.
If you hate me that’s not okay but if you don’t hate me please Floo over. Yes. Right now. I’ll be waiting by the Floo.
Please, Amycus, I need to talk to you.
The owl needn’t have been bothered with being ordered to peck at him. Amycus was utterly awake. He had been ever since he’d stumbled his way back to the Hufflepuff dorm. Several of his friends had asked him what was wrong but he’d merely shaken his head and turned away, unable to look at them... unable to think...
So now he was laying in bed, his pillow soaked with his tears, replaying those events over and over again...

“Look you can claim it’s interesting until you’re blue in the face, it won’t change a thing,” Amycus teased, pushing at his best friend’s shoulder. They were laying out under the stars, a blanket spread out and one of their ever-present picnic baskets nearby while they studied. It had become a tradition years ago and the astronomy tower was their typical spot to meet up.
He grinned at Atti and said, “There’s no way that you’ll get me to agree that Ancient Runes is ‘utterly fascinating’. More like ‘only the dullest of the dullards could possibly want to learn more’,” he teased.
