almost.
starter for @huffmara
there was something about the great lake that astrid particularly likes -- the calmness that it brings, not to mention that it was far away from the noisy chattering of students in like almost every corner of the castle. it was probably why it doesn’t take her any effort to be dragged along in the said place, she particularly liked reading by the side of the lake.
she wouldn’t even deny that lying on her companion’s lap while she was reading the book she had been trying to finish for days now is like the most comfortable place ever. hopefully mara doesn’t mind the extra weight. it was such a good thing that she decided to wear thick clothes for the day (it was pretty cold) as the grass that were seemingly tickling her back didn’t bothered her at all. dragons seems like an interesting subject for astrid as she haven’t read anything like these in the muggle world. every pages were like a new discovery for her so she took the time to carefully examine every lines.
it was cold, astrid noted. and it doesn’t even surprise her at all since she had seen it coming -- it was almost christmas after all. “aren’t you cold?” astrid asks, seemingly unfazed. her gaze never left the book she was reading, dainty fingers carefully flipping through the pages.
