Mom was a HUGE Cher fan especially because of her wigs, make-up and status as FULL TILT DIVA. Mom had many of Cher's concerts on DVD. We owned the album that had this song which Mom & I both adored. Mom was married several times. She was a battered wife who had a shotgun put to her head. She was abandoned with five kids by a cheating husband. She was married to an angry drunk. In her later years, Mom hungered for songs that expressed a woman's desire to kick that dude to the curb if she wasn't satisfied. STRONG ENOUGH is one of THOSE songs.
