I love storytelling via costuming and hair and how you can track a character's development through their style choices 🧡🧡
#yaz is a great example of this#la'an is one too#she started off So buttoned up and Everything was brutally practical#the hair tied at the nape of her neck in a style that'd never get loose or be in the way#Only in the pants and shirt uniform#to the hair migrating to a high pony that yes is still practical and all#but less buttoned up#uniform changes#she had her hair down in one scene in S3#in the new trailer she's even wearing hoop earrings (tiny ones but Still that's a move from#what she's worn in uniform before)#all of this foreshadowed of course by la'an in the S1 finale with her hair down#in golf#hugging pike#if I see One more person act like she's getting nothing BC they only time they design#*deign#to look at a woman is if she's standing next to their white guy#well.#trek spoilers#... of earrings but still
