ABC News as you remember it
A happy person is not a person in a certain set of circumstances, but rather a person with a certain set of attitudes. — Hugh Downs
I’ve seen a lot of used candles at thrift stores but never one with an old picture of a dude flanked by 2 Girl Scouts taped on it.
I wanted this ugly suit for cosplay purposes, I have an ugly tie that would go great with it, but alas it was too small. Nice details on the buttons, though.
And finally, some, um, leak protection for both ends.
Television pioneer Hugh Downs died yesterday at the age of 99. He was the host of "Concentration" and "The Today Show” as well as many other popular shows. We didn't recall him being on "Kukla, Fran, and Ollie” yet here is proof! RIP Mr. Downs.
This Day In Buster…April 26th 1963…
Buster appeared as the only guest on NBC’s Today Show with Hugh Downs for two hours in New York. Mentioned in a 1996 article: ‘In 1963, a painfully hokey ''Today'' show was devoted to Keaton, with Hugh Downs and his co-hosts dressed in costumes from the silent-movie era. Mr. Downs asks Keaton to smile for the camera. Keaton says no with annoyance.’ One hour survives at Museum of TV & Radio in LA & NY
