Hugo Tate

Just finished Nick Abadzis' Hugo Tate. It was great. I'm kind of obsessed with Deadline magazine, which I've never actually read (I should really just take the plunge and order some back issues off of Ebay). The idea of comics being relevent to the wider culture fascinates me. I've read the Tank Girl reprints and now this, which I think is pretty much all that's available. It would be great if the new comic book infrastructure that now exists in the UK (Blank Slate, SelfMadeHero, etc) goes on to reprint some more. Having been similarly blown away recently by The Nao of Brown, I'm especially fascinated to see Glyn Dillon and Alan Martin's Planet Swerve. And Philip Bond's Wired World. There's more great stuff I'm sure, not to mention the out of print work which was published around the same time in Crisis, Revolver and Toxic.
