There are many times in the winter months when I pick up my pop’s old pea coat (now mine) and throw it hurriedly on as I head out for appointments. On occasion I’ll get back home and pick out all the things I have shoved in the pockets over time as a fun game. I pretend that I’ve found this garment after a thousand years hidden in an old trunk and wonder at the “priceless” items in it.
