"Ah... Amaterasu. Origin of all that is good and mother to us all..." Ever since I played Okami ages ago, I've fooled around with different concepts for a "human" form of the game's player character, Amaterasu. It was a lot of fun sampling from both the fantastical style of the game and traditional imagery of the goddess. I especially wanted something that looked divine and ornate, while still appearing battle ready and sort of gender-neutral, considering the game plays around with pronouns and incarnations a lot. I hope I didn't fuck up the kanji too badly!

I’ve been watching a let’s play of Ōkami on YouTube lately so have a Human!Amaterasu, both line-art and full colour version. Weapons include: Divine Retribution, the Celestial Brush, Devout Beads, and Tsumugari.
