My dearest and only confidant,
Something peculiar happened today. Whilst residing in my oh so familiar sanctuary,a mysterious gentleman approached me. Shrouded in shadows and mourning garb,he was an odd sight for certain.
I would have never expected for another living soul to wander across my spot, let alone a gentleman like him! And yet…
He had hair as light as moonlight and yet his voice carried an odd darkness. It sent shivers down my spine the first time my ears caught the sound of it.
There's a small part of me that knows this man brings danger, but I have never been heard like he heard me. Oh dear diary, can you believe it?
I am paraded around in public as my father's golden bird, but no one cares enough to listen to listen to my song. I am a rose, planted for others to gaze at in passing. But will anyone ever stop to pay attention?..
I never thought it be possible, not until today. But he made me feel heard. He took interest in my books and my studies! He listened to me talk and never once had he interrupted me! He paid attention and engaged in conversation,it is oh so rare to find a worthy conversation partner.
If I were to get closer, answer to that pull which draws me in like a moth to a flame, would I get hurt? Is danger really so bad when all my life is a golden cage?
Oh I wish I knew the answer.
I shall go now, I can hear my maid coming to prepare me for bedtime.
I shall confide in you next day,my precious confidant.
Amelie Liddel
